1984 is one of the most meaningful books of the 20th century. Orwell wrote his distopia; this negative utopia, in the middle of last century. Thus, he showed us a weak and merciless future since the cold war, in the middle of last century. In the world of Winston; the character, there is no place for goodness. It is 1984 and; thanks to the Great Brother, everything is lived under the scope of lie, fear and hate. There is still hope into the hands of the proletariat. There is still hope. The Great Brother´s face disappeared and in his place the three slogans of the Political Party appeared in bold and capital letters: THE WAR IS THE PEACE. FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.
