The summer in 1936. The wet summer in 1936 is not precisely remembered for its storms or low temperatures but for some military men´s revolt who supporting themselves in the fanatic speech of the Spanish right wing caused a civil war whose echoes still resound in our consciences. Mario Salegi, the author of this novel and faithful to the script of what happened during those weeks tells us in first person the details of the revolt in Donostia; the city which saw him be born, the defence of its streets, the battles, the desolation and death. And he does so from an unusual position: half of his comrades are communists he has recently militated for with and the other half; Basque patriots of the "tribe" as he calls them. All of them, republicans and abertzales will fill the pages of this book together with their commitment with the struggle.
