It is a novel-testimony written by a mother and her daughter. The words in this novel tell us in first person Mónica´s life; an aristocratic Chile´s daughter who broke up her relationship with her father when she took part in the cultural awakening during all the second half in the 20th century. Carmen´s daughter´s voice is intercalated. She is the main character and she was also a witness of the vortex of the last years in the 60-s, the collective dream during the Popular Unity governorship and the horror of the shock which marked her life and brought her to exile after taking part in the first resistances to the dictatorship. In these pages; both of them end up writing a choral narration by means of different registers and polyphonies. They are two interrupted memories which give shape to this sincere, moving and dangerous work when it is written. It shows them as those women who started the journey of history and memory; facing themselves and confronting life with curiosity, courage and loyalty. They are two lives full of passion, pain and splendour which show over seventy years of history.
