Patxi Zamora, who was arrested alter a robbery attempt at the beginning of the 80-s, was the first prisoner who was applied the FIES special regime. He spent 18 years of his life imprisoned in a mad and heroic determination, obstinate and tireless to escape from his guardians. He tried every way and confirmed how each escape was followed by an imprisonment with more padlocks, rage and revenge. In this book, Zamoro narrates the details of that battle against the penitentiary institutions and; at the same time exhorts the ones who are “on this side of the wall” to think about a system which uses the prison as a gun which aims at any ziticen´s temples; a big punishment cell, a sub-world where the wish for freedom is the only thing which can give the prisoner a little bit of calm and hope.
