It was in November 2007 when the Spanish king Juan Carlos Borbon tried to silence the Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez. With this gesture, the king did a great favor to the Latin American anti-imperialist cause. In fact, it clearly marked a turning point in relations between Latin America and the Spanish monarchy today. What the king could not bear to hear was, in a tone of equals, that Latin American people are not vassals of anyone. He certainly did not expect the extraordinary response that it caused within hours of his deplorable gesture in to millions of citizens of the entire Latin American continent, including in other countries of the world. The intention of this book is to record the size of the anger, the will not to yield and the stubborn consistency of the towns to continue slipping away from colonialism.
