The Basque Country is disappearing. The tendency of the assimilation process is in progress, changing our originality for that quality of men and monkeys which is called imitation. In spite of the effort during these last 40 years, we have not crossed; by any means, the border of the non-return which guarantees our future existence. With the globalisation; nations and languages like ours will disappear in the same way as the whales or the Amazonia are. Nowadays, being Basque is a way of being an ecologist. From the beginning of the conquest in Navarre, we have tried out all the different ways of survival with Spain. Neither of them has stopped the loss of our language, territories, culture, right or Basque idiosyncrasy. With Spain, France and the American way of life we will finally disappear. Independence is the only thing left we have to test. The non-dependence. Any country has ever regretted itself of having achieved it; especially if it meant becoming emancipated from Spain. We will not do it either. We have too many reasons for that.
