After September 11th 1973; the military attack to La Moneda presidential palace in Santiago de Chile gathered massive arrests, tortures, killings and the disappearances of lots of young people and workers. Victor Jara was one of them. He lived as one of them and died as many others. Being of humble origins, he devoted his life and works to find his roots again, dignify them, activate them and visualize them. He got to join his personal development, the compromise and evolution in the political and artistic field to the one of the Chilean population. He was faithful with his history and real testimony of resistance and hope for the ones who followed him. It reminds you of Chile join old friends, stage colleagues, relatives, the characters of his most well known songs and the political retaliated by the Pinochet´s régime to carry out a journey through the labourer, rural, poetic and rebel world of Chile. The touching testimonies, photographs and lyrics of his songs form a puzzle- homage to all the ones who in the company of Victor Jara made possible for us to enjoy his works, as present today as 30 years ago, because of their experiences and personal lives.
