Community work (auzolan in Basque) is a long tradition labour system built on the collective work of members of a community. Rather than a system, it is the way for a people to act, organize and build itself. Through a historical study and a deep reflection, this book seeks to convey what has been and still is the community work in our country. It aims to attach value to the auzolan as the heritage of the nature of Basque people, instead of taking it for historical relic, in order to prove that it is the tool of the present and the key to the future.
