A rural doctor in the East of Cuba called Bebo, goes to the community of Cuchuflí Arriba to take care of several cases of priapism, continuous and painful erection of the penis. Once there, he begins to research into the reason of so inexplicable phenomenon. Starting off with this idea, Chavarría realizes a study of the Cuban society through the relation between four friends of the childhood: Bebo the doctor, a chemist who wants to invent “the Cuban Viagra”, and two delinquents. A novel decorated with great doses of humour, eroticism and crime intrigue.
