Kaiomendi is one of those towns which appear really beautiful in the postcards. But; for the last years, its trees have been cut and its mountains have been filled of cables with big iron towers so that the skiers who arrive with the snow can enjoy themselves. In the harbour, white leasure ships can be distinguished since the leasure harbour was built. You can also see expensive houses in places where there were once parks and meadows. The boys and girls do not have any room to play in the street, the neighbours do not go to old Rafael´s baker´s anymore since other two ones were opened nearby and; the ones who take waves with the new bodyboards make laugh at the people who still use the board.
