Throughout the decade of 1990, thousands of young Basques said an emphatic no to the Spanish and French army. This radical refusal not only marked a generation up and down, but also went through the entire Basque society, because this movement capable of ending the military service was not limited to the young people who were called up, but was also able to join a broad group of people in the fight. There were several reasons to meet that plural group: anti-militarism, patriotism, pacifism... This book has sought to bring all those voices and perspectives of the intsumisioa (refusal to serve in the military), so that the reader could draw his and her own conclusions, which is, according to the protagonists, the necessary exercise to meet current and future struggles.
