Joxe Austin Arrieta Ugartetxea (Donostia,1949). He Works as a banker and a translator. He has worked in the poetry, narrative and translation fields. In 1979, he translated the novel Abuztuaren 15eko bazkalondoa (GAK) and later, he also translated a collection of narratives; Labur Aroz (Txalaparta,1997).Among his poetry books, we should outstand the following ones: Mintzoen mintzak (Elkar,1989) or Graffitien ganbara (Kutxa,1995). To finish with, we must say that he has been the translator of El señor de las moscas" (The lord of the flies) by W.Golding (Elkar,2001) and Homo Faber, by M.Frisch (Elkar,2001).
