Ánjel Rekalde was born in Tolosa, Gipuzkoa in 1957. He has got a degree in Sociology and Politics. He is also a Doctor of Journalism. He is the author of different literary works published by this publishing house ( Dorregaray, Mugalaris, Memorias del mañana...), essays and some research about Press analysis. These last years he has focused on the journalistic processing of the political reality, the Basque society and youth and drug dependence. The last work he has published together with the Portuguese writer Rui Pereira is O novo journalism fardado. El país e o nacionalismo vasco with the publishing house Campo das Letras, Portugal. It is a research about the Spanish propaganda and the criminalization of the Basque world, based on his doctoral thesis. Santiago Alba Rico, 1960, a contributor to Gara and Rebelión newspapers was the editor of the programme "The electroelves" (of the TVE programme " The Glass Ball").A finalist in the Essay Prize Anagrama in 1995 for his work The chaos rules, he is also the author of The Jacobin Islam, Higher towers and The intangible city and a lot of articles- published in different media and recollected in collective works- about politics and culture. He knows the Arabic world very well and has been living in Tunez for 15 years. Giovanni Giacopuzzi. He was born in Trento, in 1958. He lives in Bolzano- Bozen, Italia. The author of different books and articles about the political situation in the Basque Country, he reconciles his journalistic task with his work in a support centre for handicapped people. A usual collaborator with the Popular Radio in Milán, his analysis and his experience have made him become one of the greatest European analists about the Basque subject. Giacopuzzi has already published four other books with this publishing house: Without a truce ( 2002), ETApm, the another way ( 1997) , ETA, political history of an armed fight (1992) and The Argel days ( 1992) with Iñaki Egaña´s collaboration. He has also published Tuani: i re della strada with Gianluigi Gherzi. This book is about the Nicaragua street boys. Rui Pereira, Portugal, 1963. He studied Social Communication in Lisboa and Oporto. A journalist since 1963, he has worked for different Portuguese newspapers. Among others, he was awarded the Gazeta Prize as an outstanding character in journalism in 1987, one of the most important ones which are awarded in Portugal. Author of different books-report about the Basque subject, he has published "Euskadi, the Basque people´s unknown war" ( Lisboa, 2000), which has been translated into Spanish ( Txalaparta, 2002) and French ( Gatuzain, 2003). He is the joint author with Ángel Rekalde of "The New Uniformized Journalism" ( Oporto, 2003), a work of divulgation of Ángel Rekalde´s doctoral thesis about El País newspaper and the Basque nationalism. Apart from carrying out other academic works in the media studies field, he practises journalism as a free-lance and is regularly invited as a teacher at the High School of journalism in Oporto. Jabier Salutregi Mentxaka was born in Bilbao, in 1950.He studied at the Complutense University in Madrid, where he got a degree in Information Sciences, a branch of journalism. His first works date from 1975, year in which he contributed to the magazine Cambio 16. In 1977, after his obligued wait for the military service he signed a contract with Deia newspaper ; a journalistic enterprise in which he worked for 2 years. After that period, Salutregi was selected to reprint the magazine Punto y Hora. A year later, he would work as a subeditor for EGIN newspaper. In 1992, after having taken part in the new design of the newspaper in Hernani, he was appointed as editor of it, a task that he carried out until the very day of its closing, ordered by the judge Baltasar Garzón.
