Elías Amézaga ( Bilbao,1912) is one of those writers who like Garibay makes us suspect of a secret pact with devil. His monumental play makes him one of the liable ones for the fact that we know our country a bit better. He finished his law career in his adolescence and started to contribute to the literary magazines of the age.Later, he wrote theatre plays, sketched novels and started that huge task, which still consumes him nowadays: all the Basque writers´ catalogue; from the origins of writing. Meanwhile, he published tens of essays and he became one of Sabino Arana´s biographers, recuperating his work; not only the main one but also the minor one. With these resources, Elías Amézaga has carried out Sabino Arana´s definitive biography, from the best of the starting points, achieving his political description as well as the human one; which is not less important.
