Carlos Aznárez-Javier Arjona

Carlos Aznárez. He was born in Argentina and has lived in the Basque Country since 1996. He is a specialist in international politics, he has edited the Latinoamerican summary newspaper for nine years. He has worked as a journalist in Buenos Aires for more than twenty years, being a writer in the following newspapers: News, The reason, Page 12 and South and in the Crisis and End of age magazines. Before and after the military dictatorship, he took part in different revolutionary organizations in his country.
Already abroad, he was the magazine correspondent of the Argentine magazine Everyday news for eight years and he has contributed to the "Egin, Gara" and Euskaldunon Egunkaria newspapers and to the Ardi Beltza and Kale Gorria magazines in the Basque Country. He is the author of " Tupamaros, the trade- union mafia godfather, 500 years later: discovery or genocide?" and Bolivar´s dreams in the nowadays Venezuela ( Txalaparta, 2000).
Javier Arjona. He was born in Extremadura in the bosom of a peasant family deprived of land. When he was eighteen years old, he went to work to the coal mines in Asturias. He is an activist in different solidarity groups, such as COSAL and Sodepaz ( Asturias). He worked at an agricultural institute in Jalapa, in the age of the sandinist Revolution in Nicaragua. As an evidence of that stage two publications were published: Refugees, about the Salvadoran refugee camps in Honduras and Future memories, the testimony of a pedagogic experience in Nicaragua. He has also written different articles in solidarity – with Latinoamerica- magazines. The most recent one, Rebel airs, which is set in Colombia, Mexico and Cuba.
