Tahar Ben Jelloum ( Fez, Marruecos, 1944). He lives in France since 1971. He has published different poetry, theatre and essay books but he is especially known as a novelist. He has been the first Moroccan author to obtain the Goncourt prize of the French letters with his novel The holy night.
