Osvaldo Bayer was born in Sante Fe, Argentina, in 1927. Journalist, writer, translator and scriptwriter, he defines himself as <> committed to the libertarian and antifascists ideas. Staunch opponent of authoritarianism, Bayer had to exile, like many others, during Argentina's military dictatorship in 1976. Currently, he pays tribute to the memory from his Chair in Human Rights at the University of Buenos Aires and he is member of the board of the People's University of the Madres de Plaza de Mayo, who he has always supported unconditionally. Among his works are the essays La Patagonia Rebelde (Los vengadores de la Patagonia TrĂ¡gica), Los anarquistas expropiadores y otros ensayos, Severino Di Giovanni, el idealista de la violencia (Txalaparta), the novel Rainer y Minou and the scripts for the films La Patagonia rebelde (Silver Bear in Berlin) and La maffia.
