Carlos Aznarez was born in Argentina and has lived in Euskal Herria since 1996. A specialist in political subjects, for the past seven years he has directed the monthly Resumen Latinoamericano, dedicated to informing and denouncing the face of that continent that is habitually forgotten by the mainstream press. He has practiced journalism in Buenos Aires for more than twenty year as a reporter for the newspapers Noticias, La Razon, Pagina 12 and Sur, and the magazines Crisis and Fin de Siglo. He participated in various revolutionary organizations in Argentina before and after the military dictatorship. Living abroad, for eight years he was the correspondent for the Argentine magazine Noticias de la actualidad and in Euskal Herria he has collaborated in the International and Opinion sections of Egin and Gara. He is the author of Tupamaros (Buenos Aires, 1967), El padrino de la mafia sindical (Buenos Aires, 1988) and 500 años después: ¿descubrimiento o genocidio? (Madrid, 1992).
