Gari Berasaluze-Alex Orbe

Gari Berasaluze Ostolaza (Getaria, 1975). He has worked for several years as a journalist and publisher, in newspapers such as Egin and Urola Kostako Hitza, and in the publishing house Txalaparta. He was also in charge of the literature’s supplement of the newspaper Euskaldunon Egunkaria, and because the job he did there, he was awarded the Rikardo Arregi prize in 1998. He currently works on the Joke Office.
He is the author of the books Azaro urrunetako intifadak (1996), Bobbyren hauspoa (1999), Tulipa gorriak (2002), Elurra ezin da erosi (2007) and Elkano, itsasoak emandako bizitza (2008), and he has translated into Basque Askatasunaren eskola (2000 ) by Fidel Castro, and Zapataren koloreak (2003) by Subcomandante Marcos.
He is perfectly awared of the limits and difficulties of living without gluten, because he is the father of a girl who was diagnosed with celiac disease before she was two.

Alex Orbe (Barakaldo, 1973). He started his career in drawing by the year 1995, when he joined a company in Bilbao that makes cartoons, and where he also took part in the production of feature films and series.
In 2002 he began working as a freelancer, and his work focuses mainly on textbooks, advertising agencies and comics, as well as on flash animation for web pages.
